Learning Outside the Classroom

In 2018 our schools were awarded the LOtC Mark (Gold) accreditation, by the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom.  This award recognises exemplary LOtC (Learning Outside the Classroom) provision in schools and indicates that a school is a leader in ensuring that all pupils have access to frequent, continuous and progressive learning outside the classroom.

This award was given for the quality of our provision that takes place either outside the classroom and because we use the classroom environment in a creative way. See our Confident, Creative Learning Section of the website for more information. We have continued to develop out LOtC curriculum through the introduction of Forest School, delivered regularly to all children.

Linked to this, we offer a progression of educational visits from Early Years to Year 6. Year 6 also take part in a residential at Cliffe House. See below for activity sheets from Cliffe House and a link to their website.
