A message from the Head.
I am delighted to be writing to you as the newly appointed Head of School of Scapegoat Hill Junior and Infant School. The school team feels extremely honoured and privileged about their role in continuing to build upon the successes of the school.
We are a strong team of educators dedicated to ensuring that the needs of all our children are met in all areas of school life and that each child is given many experiences and opportunities. This in turn, will guarantee they leave Scapegoat Hill at the end of Year 6, feeling extremely confident, responsible and competent members of society, ready for their Secondary School journey.
I believe that school should be a happy, caring, respectful and hardworking environment, where all staff use their excellent skills to enable the children to recognise their true potential and talents. We also do this by showing them that we believe in them and are proud of them.
The school and community are very important to me and the school team whole heartedly support Scape’s values of love of learning, respect, resilience, aspiration, compassion and honesty. We have weekly assemblies where we discuss these values and in particular the importance of ‘walking the talk’ which means living by these values in our approach to learning and our day to day interactions with one another.
FOSS (Friends of Scape School) is our team of selfless and hardworking parent volunteers. Their support of key events throughout the year coupled with their fundraising activities has a significant impact on our school. If you are interested in being part of the team, please contact the school office or just come along to one of our meetings.
We hope our welcome and the website gives you a true taste of what makes Scapegoat Hill School such a special place. Why not see for yourself and we will show you our fantastic, small school.
If you would like to look round or arrange a meeting with me, please contact the school office.
