French
We believe it is important for children to develop a love for language learning and we use the National Curriculum as a foundation for delivering French from Year 3 to Year 6. It is our aim to prepare them for studying French as well as other languages when children enter Key Stage 3. As we teach French, we also provide them with further insights into modern Europe which is covered in our Geography curriculum.
There is a focus on the following four elements: listening and responding, speaking, reading and writing.
