A Message from the Head
I am delighted to write to you as the Head of Scapegoat Hill Junior and Infant School. The school team feels deeply honoured and privileged to continue building on the school’s successes.
We are a dedicated team of educators committed to ensuring that the needs of all our children are met across all areas of school life. Each child is given a variety of experiences and opportunities, ensuring that by the time they leave Scapegoat Hill at the end of Year 6, they will be confident, responsible, and capable members of society, ready for their secondary school journey.
I believe school should be a happy, caring, respectful, and hardworking environment where all staff use their skills to help children recognise their potential and talents. We also aim to instil in them a sense of pride and belief, showing them that we are proud of who they are.
The school and the community are very important to me, and the school team wholeheartedly supports Scapegoat Hill’s core values: Aspiration, Respect, and Compassion (ARC). We hold weekly assemblies to reflect on these values, emphasising the importance of “walking the talk,” meaning living by these principles in our learning and daily interactions.
FOSS (Friends of Scape School) is a team of dedicated parent volunteers who work tirelessly to support key events throughout the year. Their fundraising efforts have a significant impact on the school. If you are interested in joining, please contact the school office or feel free to attend one of our meetings.
We hope our welcome and website give you a true sense of what makes Scapegoat Hill School such a special place. Why not visit us and see for yourself? We would love to show you our wonderful, small school.
If you would like a tour or wish to arrange a meeting with me, please contact the school office.
