Overview

As a team of staff, we have carefully created an ambitious and modern curriculum for our children from reception to year 6. We are determined to ensure that children are prepared for the next stage in their learning.

Our aim is to introduce our children to the knowledge and skills which will help them become lifelong learners in the future.  We want our children to be confident, resilient, curious and  independent learners as well as develop an appreciation of the world immediately around them as well as the wider world which they may encounter.

Subject Planning

Each subject discipline has been planned to ensure knowledge and skills are sequenced from EYFS to Year 6. The acquisition of knowledge is empowering and  we accept the more children know, the more they can learn.

Half-termly Overviews and Curriculum on a Page

Teachers also provide all families with a ‘half-termly overview’ which details the areas of the curriculum, children will be completing in the current term. Please find these attached below. If you have any questions about your child’s learning, please speak to your child’s teacher or contact the school office. On our website, we also provide children’s views and achievements about what they are learning in each of our three classes. This is including in our school newsletters too.
